To alert the teams of CNSAS (National Mountain and Cave Rescue Corps) it is necessary to call the operational units at the number 118.
In this case it is necessary to tell the operator:

• your own details
• the phone number from which you are calling
• the exact place of the accident (height, slope)
• weather conditions and visibility
• what happened
• when it happened
• persons involved
• conditions of the patient (uninjured, slightly injured, seriously injured, unconscious)
• obstacles on the ground preventing helicopter flight (cables, cableways, projecting wires)

The international sight or sound rescue call signs are:

CALL:
Launch six times in one minute, i.e. every ten seconds, a sight or sound signal (shout, whistle, torch light etc.).
Repeat the signals after one minute.

REPLY:
Launch three times in one minute, i.e. every twenty seconds, a sight or sound signal.

Anyone who intercepts a call for rescue is obliged to alert the operational units as soon as possible.
